Ghetsis's Revenge Chapter 6

<Nacrene City, Unova>

"Right away sir." One of the four men said hanging up his Xtransceiver and turning to the others who were kneeling in an alley way.

"What did he say?" one of the others asked.

"We are no longer supposed to eliminate the targets just subdue and detain them." The lead man answered "which means we switch to non-lethal darts instead of bullets." He concluded.

"Bummer." The third man said "ah well we still get to enjoy the the thrill of the hunt." He said.

"Well let's take care of our target here in this city." The lead man said as he and the other three stood up from their kneeling positions in the alley.

"And who would that be?" the fourth man asked.

"The Gym Leader, Lenora." The lead man said as they vanished into the shadows of the night.

<The Next Day; Castelia City, Unova>

"I see you're up now." Bianca said to Cheren as he walked into the main room of the gym.

"Yeah I'm still pretty tired considering what happened yesterday." Cheren said still sleepy.

"That's understandable." Burgh said walking in and drinking a cup of coffee.

"So what are you two going to do now?" he asked after taking another sip.

"We promised Alex we would wait here for him to get back and that's what we're going to do." Bianca said.

"Well I would suggest you stay here because who knows those men could be waiting around to get you." Burgh warned.

"That's what we plan on doing besides Alex should be back soon." Cheren said.

"Hopefully." Bianca added.

"Well you two can feel free to use the battle arena to practice if you want." Burgh said taking another sip of coffee and leaving the room.

"Well at least we can have some fun." Cheren said as he walked towards the battle arena.

"Sigh…its always battling with you." Bianca sighed and followed him.

<Sunnyshore City, Sinnoh>

"I haven't slept that well in the past couple of days." Alex commented as he woke up "and I feel sad about lying to my friends again." He thought "was it all a dream?" he wondered.

"Sadly no it wasn't." Zekrom said walking into the room. "Whoa! Who are you?!" Alex demanded to the unknown person.

"Relax Alex, it's me." Zekrom said calmly.

"Zekrom!?" Alex asked baffled recognizing Zekrom's voice.

"Yes." Zekrom responded.

"Why do you look like a human?" Alex wondered still confused.

"Just because I'm not a psychic legendary like some others doesn't mean I can't turn into a human at will." He answered.

"I guess so, if it wasn't a dream then why do I have all my feelings back?" Alex inquired as he got up and began to get dressed.

"Because I'm actively sharing some of my power with you to divert the corruption from you." Zekrom responded.

"Wow you can do that! Is that why I kind of feel more powerful?" he wondered.

"Yes but there is a cost." Zekrom said kind of grimly.

"What's the cost, and where is the corruption going if it's diverted from me?" Alex asked.

"Don't worry about the cost it's irrelevant for now, as for where it's diverted well I'm pretty sure you can figure it out." Zekrom said.

"You don't mean." Alex said worriedly.

"Yep it's diverted to me." Zekrom said sharing his worry.

"Oh no if it's diverted from me to you doesn't that mean you're getting affected twice as fast?" Alex asked worriedly as he finished getting dressed and ready to go.

"Yes but don't worry I have a much much higher resistance so it should take a long time to show even the basic of signs which also means that the collapse of balance will slow down." Zekrom explained.

"Well I guess that's good." Alex said "now should we continue our search?" he asked.

"No need to let's just head to the park." Zekrom said.

"Why?" Alex wondered "there are all kinds of places to look." He concluded.

"Just trust me." Zekrom said.

"Okay I trust you." Alex said.

"Well should we go then?" Alex questioned.

"Yes and I thought I would let you know there is someone at the door." Zekrom said as he walked out of view that the person at the door would see.

"What do you... Oh hello Jake." Alex said opening the door and almost running into his friend.

"Hello Alex where you off too?" Jake questioned.

"Off to the park." Alex answered "who's this?" he asked seeing a canine like Pokémon standing behind Jake.

"Oh him, he's one of my partners, Lucario." Jake answered gesturing to the Canine like Pokémon.

"Well he's an interesting Pokémon." Alex commented and the Lucario seemingly flattered by the compliment nodded.

"Well can I accompany you? I can show you the way." Jake asked.

"Sure." Alex answered as they walked off with Zekrom following behind unnoticed by Jake or his Lucario.

<Sunnyshore City Park>

"Here we are." Jake said after about 10 minutes.

"Ok thanks." Alex said.

"Well I am going to the Pokémon Center meet me there when you're done doing what you got to do." Jake said as he and his Lucario walked off.

"So now why are we here?" Alex asked Zekrom who was behind him.

"Just wait." Zekrom said.

"So you've arrived" N said walking out from behind a nearby tree followed by another young man that Alex couldn't recognize.

"Hello N." Alex said calmly "been awhile hasn't it?"

"Yes it has and Reshiram tells me that he has some important information to tell us."
N said gesturing to the young man behind him.

"So this is Reshiram in human form?" Alex questioned towards the human disguised Dragon

"That would be me." Reshiram said.

"Ok so what is it you have to tell us?" N asked turning to the Human disguised dragon.

"Ok here it goes…" he said as he explained everything that needed to be explained although omitting some of the facts about what would happen to Alex as he prefers to tell Alex when he is alone.

<After 10 minutes of explaining>

"Are you serious!?" N asked in shock.

"Though I wish it was not it is true." Reshiram said trying his best to calm N down.

"So all of us have to go back to Unova in order to stop this?" N asked.

"We haven't figured out exactly how to stop this but we need to go back and look into it." Reshiram answered.

"Zekrom you told me that all we had to do was take them back to solve the problem." Alex said angrily turning to Zekrom.

"Yes I know and I only told it that way so you wouldn't panic." Zekrom defended.

"You should have just told me the truth from the beginning." Alex responded.

"I realize that it was wrong to lie to you but can we just figure it out then after everything is done you can be mad at me." Zekrom said.

"No it's fine just next time tell me the whole story." Alex said to Zekrom his anger dissipating.

"Thanks." Zekrom said.

"Well the first thing we should do is head back to Unova." Alex suggested turning towards the group.

"Ok so where do we leave from certainly not in the middle of the city." N asked.

"Don't worry Zekrom and I arrived in a clearing to the west of the city, we can leave from there." Alex responded.

"Okay that's fine by me." N said.

"Let me go tell Jake I'm leaving maybe he can see us off." Alex said as he started walking towards the Pokémon Center.

"I don't know if that's such a good idea." N said.

"Why not?" Alex asked "he's one of my friends and I haven't seen him in a long time so." He continued.

"Ok fine, we'll wait for you near the western exit." N said as he, Reshiram, and Zekrom walked towards the gate.

"I won't be long." Alex said walking off to the Pokémon Center.

"Did you hear that?" A man asked another one from behind a newspaper on a nearby bench.

"Certainly did shall we proceed with the plan?" the other man asked.

"Yes radio ahead and tell them to set the ambush." The first man said before folding up his newspaper and leaving the other man following suit shortly after.

<Inside the Pokemon Center>

"So you have to go." Jake asked kind of bummed.

"Sadly yes but if you want you can see me off" Alex asked.

"Sure let me just take care of something and I will meet you there, where are you leaving from?" Jake questioned.

"The clearing to the west of the city." Alex answered.

"Why are you leaving from there?" Jake wondered.

"Well the method I arrived here is not exactly subtle." Alex said.

"I'll trust you on that." Jake responded.

"Well I'll see you out there." Jake said.

"Ok." Alex said walking out of the Pokémon Center.

"Where is Jake?" N asked as Alex arrived at the western route gate.

"He said he would meet us there." Alex answered "so ready to go?" he asked.

"Yes, let's go." N said as they left the city and headed towards the clearing.

<Route 222>

"Are you okay?" Alex asked when he noticed that Zekrom was clutching his side in pain and walking slowly.

"It's nothing." Zekrom responded shaking the pain off and walking at normal speed again.

"Well okay." Alex said concerned.

"That's weird." Alex said as they reached the clearing. "What's weird?" N asked.

"When I arrived there were all kinds of Pokémon but now not even a single one." Alex answered noting the absence of any Pokémon.

"I don't like this." Reshiram said sharing his feeling of concern.

"Well let's ignore it and get out of here." N said.

"I don't think so." A menacing voice said from the surrounding bushes.

"Whose there?" N demanded.

"Well If you must know." The voice said as its source and many other men and women dressed in knight like armor stepped out of the bushes.

"Oh no!" N exclaimed realizing who the men and women were.

"Team Plasma!" Alex added.

"Why my lord N you look surprised to see us." The man said pacing back and forth.

"Quit with the false sincerity and tell me what your're doing here." N demanded.

"Allow me to introduce myself my names Brandon." The man said completely dismissing N's demand.

"We don't care who you are." Alex yelled back

"Now tell me what your doing here and what do you want!" N demanded again.

"Well Sire its simple we have orders to make sure you four don't make it back to Unova." Brandon said directing the word Sire towards N.

"I said stop with the false sincerity!" N shouted in response Reshiram walking forward to protect N.

"I'm sorry my liege but I simply can't allow you or your friends to return." Brandon said raising his hand into the air as the men began to encircle Alex, N, Zekrom, and Reshiram.

"This isn't good." Alex said "what do we do?" he wondered.

"I'm not sure." N said nervously as the Team Plasma members closed in.
